Color laser MFP will be
the trend.
Chinese globalization
trends; media and advertisement industries are the drivers to color laser
MFP adoption. Moreover, with color laser MFP providing black and white
functionality as well, a substitution effect will take place.
Functionality and price
performance will be the focus.
Laser MFP advantages in
speed, capacity, print quality, durability, and increasingly color, will
also have to have price performance advantages. In China's growing logistics
and financial services industries, enterprises will continue to urgently
demand speed, capacity, and print quality.
However, in China's SMBs
and other emerging industries, cost of ownership will be the key factor.
Vendor will need to provide targeted, optimized solutions to China's
increasingly varied industries.
Energy efficiency may be
a necessity.
Driven by China's growth in
energy consumption, the government's "energy conservation and emissions
reduction" policies, and vendor competition, energy efficiency will be a
critical selling point. Buyers and vendors are responding. HP, Canon, and
Konica MFP products now appear on the government's procurement lists because
of their products' energy efficiency.
